Youth Services Librarians and YS Staff, Young Adult Librarians and YA Staff, and LTA and MLS students

Are you interested in better serving youth with special needs? Join Holly Jin (Skokie Public Library) and Renee Grassi (Glencoe Public Library) for the first meeting of the newly formed SNAILS Networking Group. SNAILS will meet in-person on a quarterly basis and connect virtually via blog posts between meetings.

We will discuss...

  • programming ideas for birth through young adult (age 22)
  • assistive technology and special collections
  • training opportunities for library staff
  • strategies for partnerships with local agencies
  • resources to learn more about accessibility

Our first meeting will be held at Arlington Heights Memorial Library on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at 9:30am. AHML is located at 500 N. Dunton, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. If you plan on attending, please RSVP to Lindsay Huth at lhuth@ahml.info.
