Adult Services Librarian, Zion Public Library

The successful applicant will have a commitment to customer service, knowledge of electronic resources, and initiative. Spring courses

Job Title: Spring 2009 Video Library Intern (PAID)
Job Location: Chicago, Illinois
Department: Video Library, AnswersMedia, Inc.

Description: The Video Library Intern will assist the Video Assets Manager in creating and maintaining a growing library of physical video assets. Duties will include but not be limited to library data entry, tape labeling, tape bar-coding, logging, fulfilling search requests for staff and organizing video assets. Our library is undergoing a transfer to a computerized database. This may be a long term project.

Minimum Requirements: The ideal candidate will have a sincere passion for video asset management, a working knowledge of television and/or video production and superb database searching and computer skills. Some experience in a library setting is essential. The library intern may be required to lift up to 20lbs. Applicant must be a current student or recent graduate.

Preferred Requirements: Extra consideration will be given to those with experience in a video library setting and/or current master of library students. Experience with ScheduALL software is a plus.
