Keep Talking about LTA!

Help us reach more students by continuing to talk about the program! Tell others what we already know! Do you know someone at work who loves libraries as much as you do? How about a neighbor or someone at your church? Let them know about the LTA program. Here are some talking points for what to share about the program: 1) We've been around a long time (since the College opened). 2) All the courses have been updated. 3) The faculty are working librarians who share their love of libraries with our students! 4) The program has practical content. 5) Small classes. 6) Geographically convenient. 7) Affordable tuition. Spread the word! Let's increase enrollment. Who can do that? You can.

What's New in Libraries Interview

Take a look at this video interview ( http://youtube.com/watch?v=kEMztayBCWI ) from the cable television program, What's New in Libraries, which was filmed at the CLC Library in August of 2006. Sarah Long, Director of the North Suburban Library System, is the host of the program. In this clip, Sarah interviews Janet Schawel, a CLC LTA graduate, and myself. We discuss the updated and revitalized program and LTA careers. Janet, who works on the reference team at the Warren-Newport Public Library, is a great spokesperson for the program and for the LTA career. Enjoy!
