Glenview Public Library - Project Coordinator

The Glenview Public Library has a part-time opening for a Project Coordinator in the Communications Department. The Project Coordinator supports all aspects of the daily operations of the Communications Department. The primary focus of the position will be to assist the Communications Director with the Glenview Public Library’s marketing/public relations functions and adult enrichment program management, including press release writing/distribution, online media maintenance, website content management, special event/program coordination, display and art exhibit planning, proofreading, and the varied administrative/production functions of the Communications Office.

Ability to work independently, to prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines, to multi-task - all with a meticulous attention to detail and efficiency - are key to success in this position.

Hours: 18 hours per week; evenings and weekends when required

Requirements: Minimum two years college; college degree preferred

  • Progressive experience in event coordination, public relations, marketing, and/or non-profit environment preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and familiarity with Adobe Acrobat and Photoshop.

Salary Range: Part-time/hourly $14.01 hr. - $15.76 hr.

Student Worker Jobs - CLC

The library (Learning Resource Center) has two student worker positions open at this time. Applicants have a choice between working in the materials processing department, or as the assistant to the Library Technology Specialist. Eligibility requirements: Must be a current CLC student enrolled in at least 6 credit hours in the spring 2011 semester (plus various skills depending on the position).
