LTA 121 - Intro to Library Science Blog

Amy has a blog for the Fall 2005 section of LTA 121 -- Introduction to Library Science. Here is the link if you'd like to take a look: http://clclta121.blogspot.com Enjoy!

Special Topics Course in Development

A new course, LTA 299, Special Topics in Library Science is currently being developed. Actually, this is in response to a student request for an advanced cataloging course. Rather than developing just one course in advanced cataloging, many courses can be offered under the title of Special Topics. Some other ideas for special topics courses include: Readers' Advisory Services; Public Relations and Marketing for Libraries; Young Adult Programming; Children's Programming; Storytelling; Copyright for Laws for Libraries; Book Clubs and Discussion Groups; and Library Web Page Design. If other topics come to mind, please let me know! I hope to have the course approved in time to go into the next catalog. If that happens, the first section of LTA 299 could be offered in Fall 2006.
