JOB DESCRIPTION:

1. Public Services Desk
   Duties include using the library’s Voyager Circulation client to search simple bibliographic information for patrons, perform routine circulation functions such as; checking books and in out of the library, renewing books, inputting and updating patron records. Assist patrons at the circulation desk by answering informational and directional questions, troubleshooting photocopiers, printers, and simple PC problems, answering phone calls and some filing.
   
   
2. Interlibrary and Intercampus Delivery of Materials
   Assist in the packing, delivery, and pick-up of interlibrary loan book bags from Interlibrary Loan Delivery Service van. Requires ability to bend and lift book bags and push book carts.
   
   

Special Abilities: Ability to stand for long periods at a time, and carry and re-shelve books. Use of Voyager’s Circulation client, scanning, faxing, and photocopying of articles for interlibrary loan.

Required:
Attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to customer service.

Must be available to work one full Saturday from 9:00am – 4:00pm a pay period (2 per month) and one night a week. Must have flexibility in hours scheduled. Average of 12 – 15 hrs per week.

Availability:
Monday or Tuesday mornings and Wednesday night from 1:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Salary: Starting at $8.00 p/hour.
