Position Title: Reference Associate (Full-time)

Job Summary/Basic Function:
Reporting to the Dean/Libraries & Instructional Services and under the day-to-day supervision of the faculty department chair, this position performs a wide variety of paraprofessional tasks necessary in supporting the instructional efforts of the faculty librarians.

Required Qualifications:

1. Associate's degree with education equivalent to the completion of a Library Technical Assistant (LTA) certificate or a Bachelor's degree.
2. A minimum of two (2) year's work experience in a library public service setting.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows.
4. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication, and public relations skills.

Desired Qualifications:

1. Knowledge of electronic and print library resources.
2. Experience in academic libraries and/or customer service.
3. Spanish language proficiency.
   

Closing Date: 03-20-2011

Pay Rate: $33,008.00

Location: Grayslake
Hours Per Week: 40
Work Schedule: 8:00-4:30 Monday-Friday (may vary if needed)
