Student job opportunity - College of Lake County

I hope the spring semester is going well for all of you. In an effort to strengthen the connection between the CLC library and LTA program we have opened a student position at the library strictly for our LTA students. If we do not have any takers it will then be opened to the whole student population. You have a great opportunity for some library experience with pay. Please note: this is a student position.


Grayslake - Learning Resource Center - Circulation Desk - Student Worker (ISE)

Location: Learning Resource Center, Grayslake Campus
Supervisor: Call 847-543-2408/Stop by E101 for information.
Pay Rate: $8.00/hour
Hours: Nights and weekends (negotiable) -- not to exceed 20 hours per week.

Description:
Selected students may start work as early as the beginning of the semester and must stop working on the last day of the semester (Fall and Spring).The Student Worker will help patrons with basic library circulation functions (e.g., check out books, find reserve items, issue new library cards, etc.) during the night and weekend hours. The student may also have the opportunity to fill in at the circulation desk during other times as needed. The Student Worker will also shelve books when there is an excess number to be shelved. The student will work on other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Must be CLC student enrolled in classes.
  • MUST BE AN LTA STUDENT.
  • Library experience preferred, but not required.
